Most of the founders of DarEmar have a passion for journalism and the visual media. Indeed, most of them have much experience in the field of communication as journalists, authors, editors, photographers, and/or producers. It shouldn't come as a surprise, therefore, that DarEmar is also meant to function as an independent press agency and media outlet.

As such, DarEmar already acts as a press center offering consultations to visiting foreign journalists and researchers, including help in obtaining the necessary visas, approvals and work permits, setting up appointments, procuring documents, and acting as executive producers for various TV programs and documentaries. Indeed, DarEmar's list of clients, includes, among others, journalists and researchers affiliated with the BBC, CNN, Arte, ARD TV, the Washington Post, the Guardian, the Daily Mirror, La Presse, and Le Monde.

In addition to this, DarEmar's staff is preparing to launch an electronic service wherein articles and analytical pieces are gathered from various sources and reproduced online with Arabic summaries. The service will also feature various analytical pieces written by DarEmar's staff members and associates.

DarEmar's future plans also include producing TV documentaries dealing with various aspects of contemporary Arab life.
